Profit Share

We split a portion of the company's profits with every full-time team member. Depending on your position in the company, the % of profit share that you receive will vary. Profit share is paid out on a quarterly basis.

Health Insurance

Full health insurance coverage; Medical insurance in Canada is provided through Sun Life Insurance, for that reside outside of Canada, we will reimburse 100% of your own medical insurance (comparable to our Canadian plan, which includes health, dental and vision).

Time Off

3 Weeks paid vacation per year, a few extra personal days to use at your discretion, and the standard national holidays every year. This is a guideline, so if you need a couple extra days, no problem. We don’t track your days off; we use the honor system. Just make sure you don't leave critical work unattended too. Checking with your team before taking an extended absence is appreciated, so they’re not left in the dark.


We don't track sick days either. If you're under the weather, take the time you need to feel better. Nathan James recognizes, too, that your mental health is just as important as your physical health. If you're feeling overwhelmed or mentally fatigued, take the time you need to feel better. If a few days won't cut it, we'll work with you to find a way to reduce the burden of your work at Nathan James on your overall mental health.

 

Parental Leave

If you are the primary caregiver of a new child, you can take up to 12 weeks' leave at 100% paid salary. If you are the secondary caregiver of a new child, you can take up to 4 weeks leave at 100% paid salary.

You may also choose to take an additional 8 weeks leave unpaid as the primary or secondary caregiver. This time is meant for bonding with the new child and should commence from the date of birth or placement.

Travel Adventure Stipend

We offer all our team members a $2,500 stipend after 24 months tenure towards any travel adventure or vacation.

 

Continuous Improvement Stipend

$500 annual stipend for team member education and other learning opportunities.

 

Co-working Space Stipend

Don't feel like working from home? No sweat. Nathan James will pay up to $250/month towards renting co-working space in your city.

 

Charity Donations

$500 donation to the charity of your choice in your name at the end of each year.

Desk Productivity Allowance

$300 to get what you need to dress up your workspace to help you be as comfortable as possible.
