Wood & Rattan Nightstands Light Oak (Set of 2)

These look so lovely in the image and appear to be a decent size but pay attention to the dimensions as they are tiny. They look like doll furniture next to our kind bed - I had already opened the box and didn't want to deal with returning so I used them else where. They also arrive in a ton of peices - more peices than you would think it would take to put this together. NOTHING is done in advance and you have to put the entire thing together. It's not difficult but it takes a while. I would not purchase these again.

Got two of these for my Florida condo guest bedroom. What I love: fun instructions, sturdy construction, small size fits tight spaces, smart details like part number stickers in places you can’t see once built, coastal style, light oak color is perfect—not gray or yellow. What I don’t love: the wood grain is laminate, not veneer, so it’s essentially an image of wood, but doesn’t have a grained texture. In fairness, the specs say MDF and laminate, so I should have paid closer attention. I still love them for the cute look and will keep them. Construction took the full amount of time noted, but the instructions are very clear and all the parts are included, holes line up, etc. Just need a screwdriver.

What I love about these nightstands is almost everything: Excellent assembly instructions with encouraging fun notes. Careful and smart packaging—pretty much comes out of the box in the order needed to assemble. Thoughtful design, like putting all the part number stickers in spots that are not visible after assembly. Heavy and sturdy, making it a quality piece. Nice rattan detail and perfect neutral oak color without gray or yellow/orange undertones. And at less than 17” wide, it’s great for tight spaces. What I don’t love: Takes the full 75 minutes to assemble (but that was disclosed), and an issue with drawer alignment (maybe my fault) made it hard to get them perfect. But the main thing I don’t love is that while these look great and are on point for today’s coastal and other modern styles, I didn’t realize the surface material is a wood-printed laminate (like a thin film), rather than a wood veneer with real texture. For the price, these are nice! I will definitely shop for more NJ pieces, but will look carefully at the material description.
